allmedia.com watch: Marshall McLuhan at 100

I didn’t know that this year was the 100th anniversary of Marshall McLuhan’s birth. It seems as though his work should be dissected and discussed at this juncture. Fortunately,  the Canadian scholar was an interesting man who has gained a new audience on the Web.

This article takes an interesting look at the contrast between McLuhan and author Norman Mailer, including the role of Catholicism in McLuhan’s life–something else I didn’t know. With each passing year I discover more and more stuff I should have known about and didn’t. The article is at http://bit.ly/kmRjhU

A hat tip to my wife on this one!
